Coronavirus NL. Metropolitan Hospital runs out of beds due to covid-19

The #Secretary of #Health in #Nuevo #León, #Manuel de la O #Cavazos, stressed that as of today, #December 29, the #Metropolitan hospital is overrun in the beds available for the care of covid patients.

#In addition, he said, the other hospitals in the entity are on the verge of saturation since to this date, there is the highest bed occupancy during the entire pandemic.

#For this reason, in an annoyed tone, he criticized that society is not following prevention measures and thousands follow in the streets for no reason.

#Similarly, the #San #José hospital is full, and with 12 patients waiting in the emergency room.

#For his part, #Edelmiro Pérez, director of the #University #Hospital, stressed the seriousness in which patients are arriving at this hospital.

#And, he said, if this upward trend in hospitalizations continues, they will not have beds to care for covid patients.

“#If people do not stop this mobility there will be no beds to care for them, today health is in the hands of citizens,” he said.

#If mobility is not reduced, he reiterated, in the month of #January the entire health services system in #Nuevo #León will be saturated.
