#Alabama posted one of its highest single-day COVID case increases this morning.
The #Alabama #Department of #Public #Health’s #Dec. 30 10 a.m. numbers show the state has had 356,820 coronavirus cases since #March, adding 5,016 since yesterday. ADPH reported no backlog of older test results but daily case numbers were lower than average in the days following #Christmas, only to shoot back up today.
The state added 37 deaths to bring the total to 4,774.
A record-high number of people – 2,804 – were hospitalized with COVID. The state updated recoveries to 202,137.
