#At the moment the sex of the specimen found is unknown, but it is estimated that lived between about 20,000 or 50,000 years, period that coincides with the #Ice #Age.

#Based on analyzes of one of the teeth, scientists believe that the rhinoceros I was between 3 and 4 years old old at the time of death.

“The gender of the animal is still unknown. #We are waiting for radiocarbon analyzes to define when it lived, the most likely date range is between 20,000 and 50,000 years ago. The rhinoceros has a very thick short coat, it most likely died in summer “

#Valeri #Plótnikov, investigator

They also suggest that it did not starve because it was a robust animal, and that it would have perished after fall down a ravine or in a swamp. #Its wool, which is quite thick and monochromatic, has also been kept in good condition.
