In its last bulletin published on Friday May 29, 2020, the Regional Health Agency lists 247 hospitalizations in progress (including 44 in intensive care) and 492 deaths observed in health establishments since the beginning of the pandemic in Occitania. We take stock of the latest figures.

4 deaths in three days

Friday evening, the ARS therefore identifies a total of 492 deaths in Occitania hospitals since the start of the health crisis, 4 more deaths compared to the last bulletin published three days ago (2 in Haute-Garonne, 1 in Aveyron, 1 in Hautes-Pyrénées).

Nowadays, the Hérault (118 deaths), on Gard (92 deaths) and the Haute-Garonne (68 deaths) are the departments where the greatest number of deaths are reported in Occitania.

Hospitalizations still falling

The number of hospitalizations and resuscitations continues its slow decline in Occitania. Friday evening, the ARS lists 247 hospitalized patients in the region (-25 in 3 days) including 44 in intensive care (-8 in 3 days).

Furthermore, the ARS indicates that 512 positive cases have been reported to the Occitanie Health Insurance teams since May 13, proof that the virus is still circulating, but less virulently.

59 hospitalizations in Haute-Garonne

In Haute-Garonne, ARS Occitanie lists 59 hospitalizations in progress (-2 compared to three days ago), including 10 in intensive care (-5) and a total of 68 deaths (two more deaths in four days) since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
