A revamped formula
Due to coronavirus, the pool stage of the competition was cancelled. The 32 participating teams compete directly in a final phase that begins at the Round (return and final match). The first meetings will take place at the beginning of October, with the possibility of delaying the competition in November depending on the health situation.
Last season, Bienne and Zug failed in the quarter-finals, respectively against the Swedes of Frlunda (future winner) and the Czechs of Mountfield (unfortunate finalist). Zurich, Geneva and Davos were not qualified for this 2019-2020 edition.
