Absam, Imst – Actually, the motto of the “Club of Masters” is “Sportsmen help athletes”: But the club looks “beyond the box” especially in Corona times and tries to “help quickly and unbureaucratically”, says club member Wolfgang Linger, even in cases without sports reference. This is exactly what the association has now proved with a short-term donation of 4000 euros to the residential group “Tipi” from the SOS Children’s Village in Absam.
Since March, three siblings have also been living in the group of eight places and round-the-clock care, two of whom are still attending the Zirl kindergarten. The money will make it possible to finance a shuttle service for them until they are admitted to the Absamer Kindergarten in the autumn – thus enabling them to “solid farewell” and transition, as Christian Rudisch, pedagogical director of “Tipi”, explains.
In the SOS children’s village of Imst, however, nine children and young people between the ages of six and 16 moved into one of two new residential groups on the Whitsun weekend. The next move to the second residential group will follow in June. (md)
