The Secretary of Health of Mexico City, Olivia Lopez Arellano, also expressed her gratitude to the Cuban delegation and confirmed that they were paid 135 million pesos, for the activities they carried out in the country.
The thanks generated controversy on social networks, as users questioned the payment received by foreign doctors.

Later, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced a new shipment of ventilators from the United States to Insabi hospitals.
In early April, Cuban doctors arrived in Mexico to share experiences on the combat with Covid-19.
This was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), which explained through a statement that the specialists will make recommendations to Mexican doctors without providing medical services.
After the news, the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in the Chamber of Deputies criticized that the Federal Government has allocated 6.2 million dollars in the hiring of 585 doctors and nurses from Cuba, who are not qualified or certified to care for patients with Covid -19.
