During excavations in a garden in Hanover, some police officers were moved. The research is linked to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, which occurred on May 3, 2007 in Portugal.

A moving scene. On July 28, the German police began excavations in a workers’ garden in Hanover, located 250 km from Berlin. The objective of this research is to find the body of little Madeleine McCann, who disappeared in Praia da Luz in the Algarve in Portugal, where her family was on vacation. The police on the spot are accompanied by tracker dogs and the latter dig using shovels and rakes.

During these, the requisitioned police officers were very moved, and some could not hold back their tears, as reported by the British version of L’Express. If the investigators decided to investigate it, it is because the main suspect, Christian B., lived there in 2007. The 43-year-old repeat offender pedophile, who is currently imprisoned in Kiel in northern Germany for drug trafficking, was living there illegally. “He told me that he had not registered with the authorities. No one knew he was there, said his former neighbor, whose comments were reported by the Daily Mail.

A cellar was found on the scene

On site, the police discovered a cellar. “The building wasn’t really a house, you could call it a shed. But there was a cellar and below there would be foundations. This building was destroyed in 2008 “, explained the former neighbor of Christian B., whose garden was glued to his. “I remembered his face from the pictures in the news. And I remember his van and his dogs. Until then, I had completely forgotten about him.”, he also explained, before announcing that the alleged culprit had lived there for only a year. The latter also stated that he had “faded away” in 2008, and that he had never seen him again.
