The British Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) achieved his first victory of the season by winning the Styrian Grand Prix, this year’s second round of the Formula 1 World Cup, this Sunday at the Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg (Austria).
The German team also took control of the first two places of the race, since the second place went to the Finn Valtteri Bottas, who retains the leadership of the general classification of pilots, while the third place was taken by the Dutch Max Vestappen (Red Bull).

A week after having failed at the start of the World Cup, at the Austrian Grand Prix, on the same circuit, where he could only be fourth, Hamilton recovered, also achieving the point of the best lap in the race.
This victory gives him a mental boost in his goal of achieving a seventh title e match the record for German Michael Schumacher in the history of Formula 1.
Leclerc: It’s my fault
The other great news of the race was that the Ferrari of the German Sebastian Vettel and the Monegasque Charles Leclerc were forced to abandon after hitting each other on the first lap.
At the third corner Leclerc took off from the track after trying to beat his partner on the outside, who lost the rear wing.
