In the absence of E3 2020, Xbox is innovating to unveil its next games. Microsoft's video game division offers preview access to more than 60 video games. During the Summer Game Fest Demo Event, players will be able to discover new titles for a week. </p><div id="single__post"> <figure id="attachment_50205279" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-50205279" style="width: 802px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img class="size-full wp-image-50205279" src="https://www.journaldugeek.com/content/uploads/2020/07/capture-11.jpg" alt="" width="802" height="429"/><figcaption id="caption-attachment-50205279" class="wp-caption-text">Credit: Xbox</figcaption></figure>
“Even if we cannot recreate the effervescence and the magic which accompany the big shows, we have a solution which will still allow you to throw an inch or two on a large number of new titles, and always in preview” Microsoft announces in a press release. If E3 2020 has been canceled due to the global pandemic, the video game industry has not yet said its last word. Builders and developers are offering new conference formats and organizing online events to showcase their upcoming productions. This is the path Microsoft has chosen to follow. The firm is launching its Summer Game Fest Demo Event, live on your Xbox One, July 21-27. For a week, players around the world will be able to try their hand at over sixty video game titles for free. It will be possible to download the games that catch your eye from tomorrow. Here are some of the titles to find on the console’s home page in the dedicated category:
- Destroy All Humans!
- The Vale: Shadow of the Crown
- Raji: An Ancient Epic
- Welcome to Elk
Games still in development
When the general public has access to a demo of a game, it is often finalized. However, this online festival – initiated by specialist journalist Geoff Keighley – aims to transcribe the atmosphere and experience of video game shows where only previews are presented. Xbox therefore specifies that some of them are still at the very beginning of their development and that some will not be released for a long time. “This is a first for us, so keep in mind that these titles will continue to evolve, to be refined” warns the Redmond firm. Xbox also invites players to share their feelings on social networks by mentioning the studios of different titles or directly on their official sites. Xbox is also preparing its next conference Xbox Games Showcase, which will take place on July 23. This will be an opportunity for Microsoft to present in more detail the new games already announced for Xbox (Series X), but also to unveil the first images of the highly anticipated titles, such as Halo Infinite for example.
Countdown started. Other games are coming.
