1. Sleeping on the carpet Rp. 2 million
In Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi, Jokowi buys jumbo cows from a local farmer, Rahman Takka.
The 1.2 ton cow is placed on the carpet for Rp. 2 million.
The reason is that the cow named Puang Tedong is not cold so it can sleep well.
“There have been many efforts that I have made so that Puang Tedong remains healthy and can be submitted intact to President Jokowi. I have given two pieces of black carpet, keep bathing, and eat three times a day,” Rahman said.
“It’s not just a matter of fantastic price and makes me happy, more than that, I’m proud because my beloved cow was bought by an important person,” he continued when met Kompas.com, Sunday (7/26/2020).
In fact, he routinely conducts night patrol so that the cow bought by the number one person in Indonesia is not lost.
Rahman sold his cow at a price of Rp. 100 million, but was finally released at a price of Rp. 89 million.
When they were about to be taken to the place where the sacrificial animals were being slaughtered, Puang Tedong’s cow had raged.
He plowed at any object around him and had a chance to make the public afraid.
After raging for two hours, the cow calmed down and was taken to the sacrificial animal slaughter.

Muhammad Sholeh and his cow were bought by President Joko Widodo, when he was met at his cow shed in Campurejo Village, Panceng District, Gresik, East Java, Thursday (07/23/2020). President Jokowi chose the 1.04-ton cow for sacrifice and will be handed over to the Al Akbar Mosque, Surabaya, on Eid al-Adha.
2. Take a shower during the day so as not to catch a cold
In Gresik Regency, President Jokowi bought ongole crossbred cows weighing 1.04 tons for sacrifice.
The white cow is 159 centimeters tall, 186 centimeters long, and 234 centimeters in circumference.
Its large size is inseparable from its special care, including its highly nutritious food.
“The only thing that is eaten everyday is high protein. Yes slamper (cornstarch), soy flour, and the important thing is the greens (fresh grass), “Sholeh said.
How to bathe it is not arbitrary so as not to catch a cold, which must be done during the day.
“The risk is that big cows are like that. If they are bathed too late in the evening or night they usually catch a cold. Likewise if they are too early,” he explained.

3. Upin, Jokowi’s twin cow who often wins the contest
President Jokowi chose 1 ton of simental cattle for the sacrifice of Eid al-Adha in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi.
The cow named Upin was bought from Suyatno, a resident of Lawoila Village, Konda District, Konawe Selatan Regency.
Before being sold, Upin’s cow often won a contest with Suyatnos other cow, Ipin.
Finally, the two cows won the contest at Konawe in 2019.
“What was considered heavy, Upin and Ipin were two years old and weighed around 535 kilograms at that time. But, only Upin was bought for the sacrificial cow, “said Suyatno, Wednesday (07/29/2020).
Suyatno claimed he did not expect his cow to be bought by President Jokowi.
“Never mind wanting, just never dreamed. Next thing I know my cow was bought by the President, “said Suyatno at his home.
It was named Upin because the pet cow was a twin cow.

4. Eat tofu pulp
President Jokowi bought a limousine as a sacrificial animal for the people in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
Cow owner, Subroto (50), said that the sacrificial cow is fed with tofu dregs.
Subroto even had to buy six bags of tofu dregs in one day to feed his cows.
Within a day, he must spend at least Rp. 120,000 for animal feed.
“The price is one sack of Rp. 20,000. I usually buy six sacks a day, sometimes even more, “he explained.
In addition to tofu waste, Subroto also provides grass to feed his cow.
He was grateful, this treatment made Jokowi’s ogle cow Subroto.
The president buys the 968-kilogram cow for Rp. 79 million.
“Very grateful after four years of maintaining, finally bought by Jokowi. We and my family say thank you, blessings, “he said.
The plan is for the cow to be submitted to the sacrificial committee at the Baitul Muttaqien Islamic Center Samarinda Mosque.
