The thermometer could reach 35 degrees in places along the French border.

Lhe weather will be summery Thursday afternoon with generous sunshine and maximum temperatures between 23 degrees on the coast and 29 degrees in Gaume. The temperature will hover around 27 degrees in the center of the country, according to the latest forecast from the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM). This Thursday evening and overnight, the sky will remain clear. It will be fairly mild with lows between 13 and 18 degrees.

On Friday, the mercury will gain a few more degrees since the IRM forecasts 29 degrees in Haute Ardenne and 35 degrees, or even a little more, in the west and south of the country. The sun will shine until the end of the afternoon. Clouds, a little more numerous, could then drift over the west of the country. The IRM issued an orange alert for high heat in Hainaut and a yellow alert for the rest of the country on Friday.

During the night from Friday to Saturday, the sky will remain slightly or partly cloudy. The risk of a few thunderstorms from France will however increase. The weather will remain very mild, with minima between 18 degrees in the Ardennes and 21 or 22 degrees in the big cities.

On Saturday, clearings and cloudy periods will alternate with, especially in the east of the country, a few scattered showers. At the Coast, the weather will remain dry with lots of sun in the afternoon. The maxima will be between 23 degrees at the coast and 29 degrees in Belgian Lorraine. The wind will generally be moderate and at the seaside often quite strong from the western sector.

Sunday, it will be first dry everywhere with clearings and cloudy periods. During the course of the day cumuliform clouds will develop in the interior with a few showers in places. The maxima will be between 20 degrees on the coast and 25 degrees in Belgian Lorraine.
