This Friday, nine governors of the PAN, PRI, MC and one independent asked for the removal of the high official in charge of actions to deal with the pandemic, as Mexico ranked third in the world in the number of deaths, and with it, a change of strategy.

The Federalist Alliance, a group of ten governors, asked for the removal of Lopez-Gatell, in charge of the actions of the Health Secretary, who a day earlier, through the institution’s general attorney, Maricela Lecuona Gonzalez, reported in a meeting with state leaders that failure to abide by the epidemiological light would generate civil, administrative, and even criminal sanctions.
To this, the governors of Aguascalientes, Coahuila, Colima, Durango, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas reacted with the demand for the resignation of Lopez-Gatell, pointing out that their strategy “has cost the lives of tens of thousands of Mexicans. ”
