European Championship qualification

Austrias U21 national team can count on Hannes Wolf returning to Ried in the upcoming two European Championship qualifiers against Albania (September 4th / 6.30pm) and England (September 8th / 8.30pm, both live ORF Sport +) in Ried. After recovering from a broken ankle, the 21-year-old Styrian is making his comeback in the selection of team boss Werner Gregoritsch, who is missing for health reasons.

Yusuf Demir could make his debut. The Rapidler, who has only been 17 since the beginning of June, was called up for the first time, just like the center-back Christoph Klarer, who was last loaned to St. Polten from Southampton, St. Polten’s midfielder Robert Ljubicic, LASK midfielder Dominik Reiter and neo-WSG Tyrolean left-back David Schnegg .

Gregoritsch is absent due to a minor heart attack on Monday and is being replaced by OFB sports director Peter Schottel for the time being. “In the coming course, players and coaches will do everything they can to play two good games,” said Schottel.
