A tourist plane crashed this Wednesday around noon when it had just left the runway of the airfield. The accident occurred in the town of Arbent, in Ain. A few minutes after taking off, the machine would have suddenly lost altitude to crash in the middle of a residential area, reports Progress. It landed against the fence of a residence and then caught fire.
The pilot died but no local resident was injured. Helpers, dispatched to the scene, quickly extinguished the fire. An investigation has been opened. The Bureau of Investigation and Analysis (BEA) for civil aviation safety was on site at the beginning of the afternoon.
