From this Monday, the mandatory social immobilization will govern from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., reported today the President of the Republic, Martin Vizcarra.
During a meeting with regional and municipal authorities, the President explained that the change in the curfew schedule has among its objectives to benefit businesses and citizens.
“This will allow businesses to attend one more hour and provide a better service to the population,” said Vizcarra Cornejo.
Likewise, he announced that economic activities will be allowed on Sundays in regions and provinces where there is no targeted quarantine.
“As of this Sunday, they will be able to attend to the trade, they will be able to leave with the restrictions that we all know: social distancing, use of a mask, in regions that are not with a targeted quarantine, but without the use of private vehicles”, stated.
State of emergency
Currently, the country is in a state of national emergency until September 30, due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
To date, the mandatory social immobilization of all people in their homes is from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the next day, from Monday to Saturday, nationwide; with the exception of Cusco, Moquegua, Puno and Tacna, and the provinces mentioned in the legal provision with focused quarantine.
