A Republican Senator Will File An Objection Against Joe Biden’s Election Victory Certification

A #Republican senator said #Wednesday that will oppose the certification in #Congress next week of the results of the #November 3 US presidential election, a move that may slightly delay, but not prevent, the final confirmation of #Democrat #Joe #Biden’s victory.

#Several #Republican members of the #House of #Representatives have also said they plan to oppose the certification on #January 6 of the vote wielded by the #Electoral #College, although in this case #Josh #Hawley, representative of #Missouri, has been the first senator to confirm it publicly.

“#As minimum, #Congress should investigate allegations of election fraud and take steps to ensure the integrity of our elections ”he wrote in a statement announcing that he would object to the certification of the results.
