China authorizes marketing of one of its coronavirus vaccines

The #National #Administration of #Medical #Products of #China has approved the conditional marketing authorization for a coronavirus vaccine developed by the state pharmaceutical company #Sinopharm, being the first to receive this certification from the drug regulatory body.

#This vaccine, which had already received authorization for emergency use in the middle of the year, will become the first to hit the commercial market with this status.

#This #Wednesday, #Sinopharm assured that its vaccine had a 79.3 percent effective#Although previously, after clinical trials carried out in the #United #Arab #Emirates, he had assured that it was 86 percent.

There are currently 15 vaccines in clinical trials in #China, including five that have already entered phase three, although #Sinopharm’s announcement of their effectiveness is the first from a #Chinese company on the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine it develops.

25 new infections

#Today, the #Ministry of #Health of #China has communicated 25 new cases of covid-19 registered this #Wednesday, of which nine are of local transmission and 16 imported.

#Of the community contagions, the health authorities have detailed that five have been detected in #Liaoning province, while #Beijing and #Heilongjiang province have reported another two cases each.
