NEW YORK. –– The police stopped a party with hundreds attendees in Manhattan early Saturday morning.
The party took place at a building located on West 36th Street in Midtown around 2:45 a.m.
The New York City Sheriff’s Office says nearly 400 people were inside, without masks, violating social distancing. Alcohol was also being sold illegally at the party.
Four people received citations for violating various criminal codes and health violations, and for operating without a liquor license.
The four organizers of the party were fined $ 1,000 each and face charges.
A few days earlier, on Thanksgiving morning, police officers disrupted a party taking place at a restaurant in Corona, Queens. There were more than 76 people gathered at 40-15 Junction Boulevard, which is located in a yellow zone.
