A man was killed and three firefighters were injured in a fire at a Maryland home, authorities said Monday.
Prince George’s County officials said firefighters arrived to find heavy fire at a two-story home on Bond Mill Road in Laurel around 7:30 a.m. Monday, media reported.
The fire department said search teams found the body of a man at the scene after making the home safe for searchers. Authorities said excessive storage conditions made it difficult to navigate the house, and that the first floor had already partially collapsed when they arrived.
The identity of the victim had not been released late Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, a Prince George’s County firefighter was injured and sent to hospital, and two others were taken to the hospital for examination. All three were treated and released.
