The Penguins have not forgotten Pascal Dupuis

It seems that every year around the same time, the Penguins get help around the transaction deadline.

Current Minnesota Wild general manager Bill Guerin himself was acquired in 2009 when he was a two-way skater.

Almost 10 years later, he sent Jason Zucker to the Penguins for Alex Galchenyuk, young defender Cale Addison and a first-round conditional pick. The players are delighted to have a general manager ready to do anything to succeed.

“It’s certain. You can be active both ways, but I don’t know how many organizations have been as fortunate as ours to have Sidney (Crosby) and (Evgeni) Malkin in their lineup, defenseman Kristopher Letang said.

“The DGs must do everything to help their team and not waste the best years of their players. (GM) Jim Rutherford is doing his best to make the team competitive.

For Letang, having an active CEO is the most motivating thing for veterans who have only one goal: the Stanley Cup.

“We are all at 32 years old. Malkin is 33. We have fewer years left than in the past. Every year there is a sense of urgency.

Zucker, as Dupuis

With the arrival of Zucker, Sidney Crosby finds a new trio comrade. And he has skills comparable to those of another Penguins take during the NHL transfer period: Pascal Dupuis.

“” Fooling “could play in all situations in training. He had good speed and a good vision of the game.

“Zucker is similar. His speed makes him effective everywhere and his throw is effective. ”
