(agl) The number of cases has been increasing continuously since February 24, as the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) writes on its website. By Thursday noon there were 1002 more positive cases within 24 hours. So far, 91,400 people have been tested for COVID-19, 14 percent with a positive test result.
The age range of the sufferers is 0 to 102 years, the median are 52 years old. Adults are significantly more affected than children, writes the BAG. It is more common among men over the age of 65 than among women under the age of 50.
