An employee of the Provigo and Maxi distribution center in Boucherville contracted the coronavirus, while 18 people who worked specifically with it have been placed in isolation and are monitoring the onset of symptoms.
The employee was operating a forklift in a warehouse and worked his last day on March 14.
Her last shifts have been reviewed, said Johanne Héroux, director of communications for Loblaws in Quebec.
“A number of measures to protect our colleagues in the warehouse, including removing the equipment it used to thoroughly clean it and cleaning up the aisles and all common areas,” said Ms. Héroux.
Loblaws says it is working closely with public health officials to get more details.
