The coronavirus in Belgium has infected several thousand or even tens of thousands of inhabitants. Some are hospitalized, sometimes in intensive care when the SARS-Cov-2 virus causes serious complications in the respiratory tract in particular. Here are the figures and graphs of hospitalizations in Belgium since March 15, provided by Sciensano, the Belgian public health institute.

The Belgian Institute of Public Health, also called Sciensano, delivered its daily report on the spread of the coronavirus and the medical management of patients with Covid-19. This report is made possible thanks to the information provided by almost all the hospitals in Belgium (102 hospitals).

In the past 24 hours, 536 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized and 128 people were discharged from the hospital.

Between March 15 and March 25, 2,844 patients with COVID-19 were admitted to the hospital and 675 people were discharged.

March 25, 2,652 hospital beds including 605 beds in intensive care units were occupied by COVID-19 confirmed patients.
