It was yesterday that Xiaomi formalized the release of the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition in China.A late launch – the Redmi K30 was released last December – which however does not shower anything with enthusiasm. It must be said that with its technical data any flame and its very affordable price, the Redmi K30 Pro has something to envy.

An ultra-efficient smartphone around € 400

Redmi had already hit hard last year with a K20 Pro / Mi 9T Pro with excellent value for money. A feat that he seems determined to replicate this year with the K30 Pro.

The new smartphone presents itself with a 6.67 inch AMOLED screen displaying a Full HD + definition on a frequency of 60 Hz. Redmi promises a brightness of 1,200 nits (bring sunglasses) and HDR10 + compatibility.

The screen is borderless, and for good reason: the 20-megapixel front camera is housed in a pop-up mechanism located on the top. At the rear, the rest of the digital cameras are as follows: a main sensor 64 MP (1 / 1.7 “), an ultra wide-angle 13 MP, a telephoto 5 MP and a macro of 2 MP.

Under the hood of the K30 Pro, there is a Snapdragon 865 (therefore 5G compatible, as well as Wi-Fi 6), 6 GB of LPDDR4X or 8 GB of LPDDR5 and 128/256 GB of storage in UFS 3.0 or 3.1 depending on the version chosen . The autonomy of the smartphone will finally be ensured by a 4,700 mAh battery, rechargeable at 33 W. It has a 3.5 mm jack port, and is IP 53 certified against splashes.

A Zoom version better endowed in photography

That’s not all. If the technical sheet of the Redmi K30 Pro leaves you wanting, especially in terms of photography, the K30 Pro Zoom Edition is likely to catch your eye.

As its name suggests, this edition replaces the standard telephoto lens for an 8 megapixel version offering a 3x optical and hybrid zoom up to 30x.

Now available in China, the Redmi K30 Pro will probably arrive in France in the coming months under another name – possibly Mi 10T Pro. For now, it is displayed from 2,999 yuan (about 400 € HT) in its basic version, and increases to 3,999 yuan (about 540 € HT) for the Zoom Edition with 8 GB of RAM.
