The feature film Wonder Woman 1984 has just been added to the list of films whose release has been postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Warner Bros. announced earlier this morning that the film starring Gal Gadot in the double role of Diana Prince / Wonder Woman will now be released on August 14 instead of June 5.
“We hope that by then the world will be healthier and safer,” wrote Toby Emmerich, president of Warner Bros. Pictures Group in a press release.
Warner Bros. also announced the postponement of several other new features, namely In the Heights (initially scheduled for June 26), the animated film Scoob (expected May 15) and the thriller Malignant (August 14). The new dates for these three outings remain to be determined.
Also starring Chris Pine, Robin Wright and Pedro Pascal, Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins who also signed the film Wonder woman from 2017.
