Attacker on Ozil has "shocking criminal record"

The first criminal was convicted after the attempted attack on Ozil and teammate Kolasinac. The judge spoke of a "very serious crime". The weapons, however, were strange.
WFollowing the armed robbery on football pros Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac in London in July, one of the perpetrators has been sentenced to ten years imprisonment. The attackers were "armed and dangerous," the judge said in the verdict. The two robbers wanted to steal the players duo from Arsenal luxury watches worth around 231,000 euros.
They failed because the Bosnian defender Kolasinac defended himself heroically and unthinkingly and did not let himself be intimidated by the long sting the criminals threatened him with and even poked his arm several times.
As the judge said, the perpetrators armed with a knitting needle and a pointy screwdriver had not counted on the "courage" of Kolasinac. The Bosnian defended the two attackers and was able to save himself in the car, which drove the former German international Ozil. The two perpetrators pursued the vehicle with a motorcycle and threw stones at it afterwards. A few days after the crime, arrest took place.
Ozil fell victim to habitual criminals
The convict has "a shocking criminal record" of 20 convictions from 38 crimes, the judge said. The 30-year-old Ashley Smith had stood in early October his involvement in the act, his four-year younger accomplice Jordan Northover filed in early November from a confession. His verdict is expected in the coming days.
Smith, whom judge Ian Bourne called a "habitual criminal," and Northover had committed the crime on July 25. Smith was classified as the "driving force" of "very serious" crime.
A surveillance video had recorded everything. The season start with Arsenal had both then missed to process the events. In particular, Ozil is now, probably more for sporting reasons, then and as in the previous season no longer come into step and Arsenal more or less reserve or grandstand stool.
