With his team-mates Toyota, Japan's Kazuki Nakajima and No-Zeland Brendon Hartley, Strestien Buemi of Vaud won second place at the Four Hours of Shanghai, the third round of eight in the World Endurance Championship.

After 125 laps, the trio lost 1'06 behind the winners of the Swiss Curia Rebellion Racing, which achieved its second success after the 6 Hours of Silverstone in 2018.

At the wheel of the winners was the Brazilian Bruno Senna, nephew of the defunct world F1 champion Ayrton Senna, the American Gustavo Menezes and the Frenchman Norman Nato.

The third step of the podium was occupied by the trio Conway-Kobayashi-Lopez, also on Toyota.
