4-1. Netherlands thrashes Paraguay and advances to semifinals

Brasilia, Nov. 10 (EFE) .- The Netherlands team thrashed Paraguay 4-1 on Sunday and became the first team installed in the semifinals of the U-17 World Cup in Brazil.

In addition to the Sontje Hansen quota, which is placed at the top of the tournament's gunners table with six goals, they also scored Ki-Jana Hoever, Jayden Braaf and Naci Unuvar. The attacker Diego Duarte discounted for the Paraguayans.

The match played in the city of Cariacica (Espirito Santo) began with Dutch rule and in the first minutes Paraguayan goalkeeper Angel Gonzalez was already demanded by the powerful and persistent orange attack commanded by Hansen and Braaf.

At thirty minutes, in an assist from Kenneth Taylor, the side Hoever defined impeccably to put the 1-0.

Paraguay, which in the round of 16 had achieved a heroic comeback over Argentina (3-2), could not react and Gonzalez was again violated at 37 minutes, but the VAR annulled Hansen's goal.

But the gunner, with origins on the Caribbean island of Curacao and whose brother Ricky disputes the second division in Brazil with the Ponte Preta de Campinas, did not conform and at minute 40 he scored with an elegant definition, this time to be worth it, thanks to the Braaf assistance.

When the Europeans lashed out at Gonzalez, the Paraguayan reaction came at the end of the first half and Duarte discounted in the preposition, for the South American team to go to rest with a reduced disadvantage.

In the second half, with Paraguay determined to tie, the Netherlands approached again with danger and the VAR canceled the same at 66 minutes.

Then the game became even, with Gonzalez and Dutch goalkeeper Calvin Raatsie as protagonists, until at 78 minutes Hansen returned the favor to Braaf, who increased the lead.

With Paraguay insisting to decrease, the European team took advantage of the spaces and Unuvar decreed the final 4-1 at minute 86.

Despite the bulky score, the South Americans continued to attack, but Raatsie avoided a further fall of his goal.

On Thursday, in one of the semifinals that will be played in Gama, Federal District of Brasilia, the Netherlands will face the winner of the key that they will play this Sunday in Cariacica South Korea and Mexico.
