ALBA countries expressed their support for Evo Morales in Bolivia

Caracas.- The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Treaty of Commerce of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP) on Saturday expressed their support for the government of the Bolivian president, Evo Morales, in response to allegations of an attempted coup in That country. In a document dated in Caracas, the ALBA-TCP countries expressed "their support for the government and Bolivian institutions at a time when actions led by radical groups try to affect and ignore their constitutionality," he says. The Bolivian Foreign Ministry denounced on Friday that opposition sectors "promote a coup plan with the capture of the Casa Grande del Pueblo," headquarters of the Bolivian government's operations.

The ALBA-TCP block was founded in 2004 and is composed of Venezuela, Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica and Granada.
