Preparations for the upcoming Campus Eiszeit in Brugg-Windisch are in full swing. The gangs have already been delivered, today the chalet is being built. "Next week, the remaining buildings like Eisfeld and Markthauschen will follow," says Adrian DOmer, Head of Services at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). The fifth season of the project, which began as a bachelor thesis by students, is no longer in the way.

A particular highlight this season are the 1250 free tickets that an anonymous sponsor provides to schools from the Brugg-Windisch region. "In addition to the entrance, the skate rental, a drink and something small to eat in the package included," says DOmer. «The action is a success! There are only a little over 100 tickets left. »

A happy coincidence

That the tickets are made available for the fifth season, was a happy coincidence. "We were already requested in 2018," says DOmer. The offer could not be integrated due to the short time span.

The wintry event is now accepted and established, says Adrian DOmer. «People are looking forward to campus ice age. After the first two resinous start-up years, the company is now well established and continuously improved. "DOmer is satisfied with the capacity utilization of the ice rink. Some partners have been supporting the project since the beginning, many more have now joined. The Eisfeld has been looked after by the cleaning company Rohr AG from Hausen for three years.

But there are also innovations: "On the one hand, we will convert part of the terrace into a piece. Thus, the chalet has two parts and we can meet the desire of organizers for exclusivity », says DOmer. The chalet will be diligently reserved, but at the beginning of week there are still seats, as well as many weekends.

DOmer continues: "On the other hand, we were able to expand the team of our proven gastro partners. New are the potatoes from Untersiggenthal, the cider from Dietikon and the mineral water from Eptingen. "The operator SV ordered mulled wine, wine and fondue weeks ago.

Campus Ice Age starts on November 20th and lasts until January 12th.
