Shortly before it was reported that Evo Morales would have left Bolivia for Argentina. According to the Bolivian Air Force, a flight plan was requested for the Bolivian president's plane to fly over that country's airspace.

"This is a coup d'etat"

Evo Morales had called for new general elections in Bolivia "to seek peace" and in accordance with a suggestion from the Organization of American States (OAS).

"All for life, all for the country, for democracy and also for social justice," said the president.

However, Morales condemned that the civic groups have not accepted the dialogue proposed by his Government and, although new elections were announced and several of his demands were guaranteed, "now they reject everything" and ask for his "resignation."

"This is conspiring against democracy, this is a coup d'etat," condemned the Bolivian head of state.
