In the Bundesliga Bayer Leverkusen has won against VfL Wolfsburg 2: 0 (1: 0) after last four games without a win. Karim Bellarabi (25th minute) and Paulinho (90 + 5) scored the goals for the visitors. Wolfsburg have been waiting for a win for six games in a row and are currently in tenth place.
The match culminated in the 25th minute: Kevin Volland flanked Karim Bellarabi, who defeated four defenders in the penalty area and scored to make it 1-0. The Wolfsburg team protested to Marcel Tisserand for allegedly fouling Bellarabi, but referee Manuel Grafe recognized the goal. With more possession, the Leverkusen had the match at any time under control.
Referee Grafe prevents compensation
A duel between William and Wendell caused a stir in the 38th minute: William passed the ball, Wendell then ran into the path of the Wolfsburgers and let this easily come in his own penalty area. Referee Grafe had a good view, but did not make it.
