Rankin was discarded to return after leaving the field in the assistance cart. Schwartz's return was reported as questionable.

The stellar open receiver Tyreek Hill also left the game briefly in the first half after falling heavily on his left shoulder after a reception. However, Hill returned to the field later and had an 11-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.
