The Spanish choreographer Susana Pous, creator in Cuba of Micompania, conceived Infinito from an original music by Eme Alfonso that will be performed live by the vocalist herself, this Sunday, at the Marti Theater.
Pous, based in Cuba since 1999, develops a valuable creative activity on the island and until a year ago led the company DanzAbierta, for which he conceived notable pieces such as What can you expect when you are waiting ?, Malson, Showroom, and Welcome .
Infinito was released at the beginning of this year with great success of the public and critics, and Pous has made it clear that he enjoys expanding this search journey to new scenarios to know more about himself and discover himself through family and ancestors, starting of their own memories, secrets, experiences, conflicts and silences.
In addition, this dancer and choreographer in Cuba is known for having been a jury, together with the teachers Santiago Alfonso and Lizt Alfonso, of the popular television program Dancing in Cuba.
Classic Havana will take place until November 24, under the artistic direction of pianist Marcos Madrigal, and the program includes concerts in the Ignacio Cervantes room, the San Felipe Neri Oratory, the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba, the Minor Basilica of the Convent of San Francisco de Assisi, the Cuban Art Factory, the Marti Theater and others.
On November 16, several concerts are scheduled to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Havana, capital of Cuba.
