Havana, Nov 10 (ACN) The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Rogelio Sierra DiazHe successfully concluded his participation, as head of the Cuban delegation, in the IX Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Forum of Cooperation Latin America-East Asia (FOCALAE), held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
During his speech at the Plenary Session of the Forum, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the positive impact of the solidarity cooperation that Cuba offers in areas such as health, education and sports, which has been possible only thanks to the humanist work of the Cuban Revolution and to that country's unrestricted commitment to peace and development, Cubaminrex reported.
He thanked the vast majority of the members of the organization for the Cuban resolution against the blockade presented at the UN on November 7 and denounced the unjustified exclusion of Venezuela from this Forum for political reasons.
The Cuban diplomat also participated in other collateral activities such as the Business Innovation Forum, which had a promotional presentation from the company BioCubaFarma.
Within the framework of the event, the Vice Minister held bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of the Dominican Republic, Panama and Laos; his counterparts from Vietnam, New Zealand and Costa Rica, as well as with the Special Representative of the Chinese Government for Latin American and Caribbean Affairs and the adviser of the Chancellor of Thailand.
He also exchanged with other authorities of the Dominican Foreign Ministry and relevant political figures of that brother country.
The Cuban Vice Minister will make official visits to Antigua and Barbuda and to Saint Kitts and Nevis, between November 11 and 16.
