Death of Robert Enke – 96 and Barca commemorate, Jogi LOw visits grave

On the tenth anniversary of the death of Robert Enke, national coach Joachim LOw (59) and Teresa Enke (43) visited the grave of the former national goalkeeper.

"In quiet remembrance," wrote the Robert Enke Foundation on Twitter to the photo that shows LOw and Enke in the cemetery. At the grave were also numerous flower wreaths. Enke suffered from depression and took on 10 November 2009, the life, LOw was then already coach of the DFB selection.

"I think that Robert is proud of me and the work of the Robert-Enke-Foundation, especially in the abatement of this disease, we are significantly further – even if there is still room to the top, of course," said Enke SIDInterview said: "In football, I'm actually a bit further than in society, it is talked about in the teams, there are networks."

Hanover and Barca commemorate

Second division Hannover 96, in which Enke played before his death, reminded with emotional words to his former goalkeeper.

"Only those who are forgotten are dead. We will never forget Robert Enke," the club wrote on Twitter on Sunday.

"He has not been with us for exactly ten years, but we still remember him, a fantastic goalkeeper and a special person, and the shared grief for him, his fate and his illness have made us all think," he said the second division: "Not only today should we treat each other well, be tolerant and open".

Enke's ex-club FC Barcelona have also thought of the deceased goalkeeper. "We will always remember him," the Catalans wrote on Twitter.

The football honored Enke with numerous actions, among other things, should be reminded of the former national goalkeeper on all football fields in the country with a minute of silence (#gedENKEminute).

"He is unforgotten and that makes me happy", stressed Teresa Enke. She works with the Robert Enke Foundation for the de-tabulation of the disease depression.
