Evo Morales calls for new elections


La Paz, Bolivia. – The President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Evo Morales, today called for new general elections, at a press conference offered from the presidential hangar.

The leader of Aymara origin said that after hearing the criteria of members of the Bolivian Workers' Center and other social sectors, he decided to renew all the members of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal.

The Constitutional Head of State of Bolivia added that in the following hours the Plurinational Legislative Assembly and in agreement with all political forces will establish the procedures for this.

Morales reiterated that new national elections will be called, which by means of the vote will allow the people to democratically elect their authorities and incorporate new political actors, and said that similarly, changes will occur in the Departmental Electoral Courts.
