Patron of the tournament since Thursday, Francesco Laporta won the Grand Final of the Challenge Tour in Mallorca (Spain) on Sunday. The 29-year-old Italian, winner of the Hainan Open last month in front of Robin Roussel, signs his second victory in the antechamber of the European Tour, which he will join next season.
Up and down emotional for Robin Sciot-Siegrist. Author of a card of 71 (par), the Parisian finished 2nd with two shots of the winner, but shares this place of dolphin with the German Sebastian Heisele (-4). A position ex aequo which leaves him 16th of the general classification, to a box of a ticket for the elite.
Rozner and Roussel on the Tour
Sciot-Siegrist will stay in Spain to play the final of European cards (PQ3, from November 15), just like Damien Perrier (13th in the tournament), Gregory Havret, Mathieu Fenasse (27th) and Ugo Coussaud (42nd). Antoine Rozner (40) and Robin Roussel (42) will play on the Tour next year.
The top 15 of the Challenge who gets his ticket for the Tour, in the order: Laporta, Hill, Bland, Heisele, Meronk, Senior, Roussel, Rozner, Jordan, Santos, Sharvin, Farr, Van Driel, Syme, Garcia Rodriguez.
