Among them, Agroindustrial Ceballos, the main entity of the Avilanian exporting pole, stands out. This company, leader in the country in the export of charcoal, received in the recently concluded International Fair of Havana (FIHAV) the Quality Award with this fuel, obtained from the Marabou.
This is the sixth consecutive year in which he won the Gold Medal for Quality at FIHAV with assortments such as Pineapple MD2, Tomato Paste, Mango Purees and Guayaba, and hot pepper from the Chile Habanero variety.
According to Wilver Bringas Fernandez, its general director, the award is well deserved by those men and women who are dedicated to this work in the provinces of Granma, Camaguey and Ciego de Avila, and by the innovators who seek alternatives to humanize the benefit of coal and guarantee its quality.
He said that the company's stand, known by its commercial name DCballos, showed an excellent representation of Avilanian agriculture products, highly praised at Fihav 2019.
More than 90 percent of exportable coal is obtained from marabou firewood. The final product stands out for having a higher level of heat, a blue flame, without smoke and without ash.
Its production is an alternative in the search for an energy source without affecting the environment. And it helps eliminate marabou, an undesirable but very abundant plant in the fields of Cuba.
