An underground techno party is held for more than 24 hours in the Vienne. Since this Saturday, 5 am, hundreds of young "teufeurs" have invested private land, the career of Grand Breuil, between Rouille and Saint-Sauvant. This "rave party" illegalbecause it has not been declared beforehand in the prefecture, is gaining momentum.
Hundreds of young people continue to flock to the site. And electronic music sounds up to 35 kilometers of the place of the party, according to the gendarmes. Techno goes on a loop for more than two days on this big muddy ground, where hundreds of trucks, caravans and cars have settled to create walls of sounds. In front, up to 700 young people dance, jump and consume alcohol and narcotics.
The situation has become unbearable for Guyomar, 74 years old. It lies 500 meters away.
We hear "boum boom boom" all night for two days! At home, I have double glazing, and yet, I hear them. Should they stop now, it's deafening force.
The mayor of Saint-Sauvant "do not" face the situation
Complaints like that of Guyomar, the mayor of Saint-Sauvant, Christophe Chappet, receives dozens. For two days, his phone keeps ringing: calls, sms and emails from residents sometimes aggressive.
The first was at 4 o'clock in the morning. He invited me to come and see on site to see the noise. But I saw them too, as a local resident, since I do not live far away. Sometimes I do not really have time to talk, I'm hung up on my face. People need to know that I can not do much. And if I could do it, it would already be done.
The Mayor of Saint-Sauvant says "helpless and helpless" facing the situation. He is waiting for the support of the prefectural authorities, without much conviction. He nevertheless complained for "noise nuisance" and "organization of an unauthorized rave party". The owner of the land has also lodged a complaint. On their side, party-goers promise that the "rave party" will end at noon on Monday and that the ground will be made in perfect condition.
