"I want to keep playing to help the team"

Madrid, Nov. 10 (EFE) .- The Mexican Hector Herrera, head of Atletico de Madrid against Espanyol (3-1), said after the game that he wants to continue playing to help the team.

"I think my job is to be professional, work and wait for those little opportunities. It's true that lately I've had more participation and prominence in the team. I work for that and I have to be prepared because I want to continue playing and help the team. The only thing I can do is work for the coach to trust me, "said the midfielder.

Herrera explained that his adaptation to the team has not been easy because he comes from playing a "very different" system than he now practices with Simeone.

"I come from playing another system different from that of Atletico's coach, which is a system with a very strong defensive rigor. That is what has cost me the most, but one has to adapt to the circumstances."

On the criticism that the team has received for the last bad results before the match against Espanyol, Herrera considered that "they are normal" because "it is very difficult to please everyone" and added that "the whole group is responsible for everything what happens, good and bad, when you win and when you lose.
