Shock for the passengers of an ICE: Unknown people throw stones at the passing train. The windows splinter but withstand the attack.
Unknown persons have probably thrown stones at an ICE of Deutsche Bahn on the way from Hamburg to Hanover and damaged two side windows of a wagon. The discs splintered at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour, but were not penetrated, as the federal police announced on Sunday. The passengers were frightened, nobody was hurt.
The train was hit between Bienenbuttel and Bad Bevensen in the district of Uelzen. After the incident on Saturday afternoon, the approximately 350 passengers had to get off in Uelzen and continue with subsequent trains. (Sg / dpa)
