Khabib says McGregor needs 10 wins for revenge

Khabib Nurmagomedov said Conor McGregor would need to win 10 consecutive fights to win a rematch for his UFC title.

McGregor has not fought since Nurmagomedov beat him by submission in a fight for the lightweight title in October last year.

The Irish fighter described his plan for two fights prior to a rematch with the Russian last month.

That is not enough for Nurmagomedov.

"As for a rematch, to fight for a belt in the UFC, I remember that I had something like nine or 10 fights. If he wins 10 fights in a row, then that is completely possible," Nurmagomedov said.

Nurmagomedov added that he is in negotiations to fight Tony Ferguson next, but he wants it to be New York instead of UFC's favorite headquarters, Las Vegas.

That is because he disagrees with the decision of the Nevada athletic commission to fine him and suspend him for the brawl after his fight with McGregor.

"I was offered to fight in Las Vegas in March, but I told them that if Las Vegas officially apologizes for wrongly fineing me for that incident on October 6, 2018, then I will fight there," he said.

"If not, then they can assign me another date. As far as I know, they are planning in April to make (a billboard) somewhere in New York, so I'm saying I'm ready for April, or March if Las Vegas apologizes."
