Havana, Nov. 10 (ACN) Led by Alien Reyes, winner of the men's marathon title, runners from the province of Granma today took the podium of that event in the 33rd edition of Marabana, based in this capital.
Reyes, runner-up last year, reached the finish line first with time of two hours, 37 minutes and 22 seconds, enough to unseat all his rivals in the exhausting 42-kilometer and 195-meter race.
In an event marked by rain, sometimes something strong, behind the winner were his countrymen Alexeis Machado (2:42:50) and Yoel Ricardo Hidalgo (2:45:00), occupants of the second and third places, respectively .
