Masters ATP: still on fire, Djokovic rolls over Berrettini –

Novak Djokovic did not miss his entry in the running at the London Masters. The Serb was indeed very easily rid of the Italian Matteo Berrettini (6-2 6-1), who had not played a game in this event. In London, "Nole" will be more than ever the man to beat.

Hung on five small games, Djokovic then went alone, to the chagrin of Matteo Berrettini, helpless. The Italian, which remains one of the revelations of the season, has certainly struggled, but the current No. 2 ATP was three classes above. Proof of this is that the outsider soon found himself "overplaying", thus conceding eight games in a row to end up led 6-2 4-0.

This is the 11th consecutive time that Novak Djokovic has managed to win his first match in the big rendezvous at the end of the season. He failed only once in opening, during his first participation in 2007, against David Ferrer. He had lost his three group games.

Since then, Djokovic has perfectly rectified shooting in these "ATP Finals". First crowned in 2008 in Shanghai, he reached the final in his last six appearances at the O2 Arena, winning four straight titles (2012-2015) before losing in the finals in 2016 and 2018. The Serb is aiming for a sixth title of Master, which would allow him to match Roger Federer.
