According to French media, today's 63-year-old actress Valentine Monnier accuses director Roman Polanski of having beaten and raped her in his Swiss chalet 44 years ago.
In French media, new rape allegations against Roman Polanski (86) have become public. The French actress and photographer Valentine Monnier accused the Polish-French director of having raped her in 1975 when she was 18 years old. In letters, the 63-year-old has also turned to the police of Los Angeles and the French President Brigitte Macron. Their office confirmed, according to the French news agency AFP on Saturday, the existence of two letters.
After 44 years, the act would be barred
She had accepted the invitation of a friend to the Chalet of Polanski in Gstaad, Monnier told the French daily Le Parisien (Friday). There it came after blows to the rape. The incident would be time barred. Polanski's lawyer Herve Temime denied the newspaper's rape allegation.
It is not the first time that Polanski has been charged with sexual abuse. To date, the filmmaker can not enter the US, because there goes back to the year 1977 investigation against him. (Best / Reuters)
