Corinna Schumacher thanks her Michael
Riding, like motorsport, is a high priority in the Schuhmacher family. For the tenth wedding anniversary in 2005, Michael gave his Corinna a ranch in Switzerland. At the "CS Ranch – Reining Horses" she hosted her first own tournament just one year later. 2010 Corinna was then European champion in Western riding. "I do not forget who I owe this to", explains the 50-year-old in an interview and raves about her husband. Michael Schumacher has supported his wife right from the start in her passion for equestrian sports. "When I was 30 and dreamed of owning a horse, he flew with me to Dubai to see an Arabian horse," she recalls.
A family between motorsport and equitation
Her daughter Gina has also made riding her profession and is already very successful with her 22 years. It was only in July 2019, she became European team champion. Michael had always prophesied his daughter a bigger career than Corinna. "You are too nice," he had once told his wife. Gina could say "no". Corinna Schumacher is also proud of her daughter: "I'm so proud when I see Gina. It makes me happy that she can do what she loves and that she has already achieved so much. "
At first, Gina had also tried on motorsport. At the 2017 Audi Generation Awards, where she won the Sports category, she said, "I've been karting for a season – with my dad – it was a lot of fun, but the horses were mine rather."
