The Libertines member, aged 40, was placed in police custody Sunday for "violence per person in a state of drunkenness," said the Paris prosecutor.

British singer Pete Doherty was arrested in Paris on Sunday, November 10, after being in a drunken brawl after being released from custody in a case of cocaine use, according to concordant sources, confirming information from Point.

The Libertines member, aged 40, was placed in police custody Sunday for "violence per person in a state of drunkenness," said the Paris prosecutor. According to his lawyer, the singer was arrested "after a fight with another alcoholic man who complained about violence without ITT (temporary interruption of work, note)".

"After he was in police custody, he went home and then went out for a drink, but he does not drink alcohol because of the detoxification treatment he has been taking for a month.", told AFP Me Arash Derambarsh. Pete Doherty was released Saturday afternoon two days after his arrest shortly after buying cocaine in the Pigalle district.

For these facts, the public prosecutor has demanded against him a fine of 5000 euros under penalty of imprisonment, within the framework of a penal order which must still be homologated by a judge of the court of Paris.

The singer, who is at the beginning of a long tour in Europe and mainly in Great Britain, "committed to being followed full-time by an addictologist and a doctor so as not to fall back into temptation"said his lawyer. "He is not a delinquent, he is following a rehab in France and England and wants to focus on the rest of his artistic career"he added.
