Havana, Nov 9 (RHC) The Cuban ballet company Acosta Danza will perform this Saturday and tomorrow, Sunday, November 10, at the Teatro La Caridad, in the central city of Santa Clara, as part of a national tour that began the end of October.
Directed by the multilaureate first Cuban dancer and choreographer Carlos Acosta, the group will present ‘Nijinsky’s Leap’ and ‘Impronta’, both by Maria Rovira; the duet ‘Soledad’, by Rafael Bonachela, with music by Mexican Agustin Lara; ‘The death of the swan’, original idea of Mijail Fokin and ‘We’, love duo of choreographers Beatriz Garcia and Raul Reinoso.
The show will conclude with ‘Around there is nothing’, by the Spanish Goyo Montero, based on poems by his countryman Joaquin Sabina and the Brazilian Vinicius de Moraes.
Since its scenic debut, Acosta Danza works according to the most current notions that are developed in the world, from the movement of the body in correspondence with the scene.
On this national tour, the company has already taken the stages of the cities of Camaguey, Ciego de Avila and Sancti Spiritus. (Source: PL)
